It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
I know, I know. It's become trendy to love October. Yuck. But let me be clear--I was the OG lover of this spooky, autumnal month. (I'm sure we all think that...) I was born in October--the day before Halloween, to be exact, SO, I think I've earned the the right to love it a bit more than everyone else. ;) Still, I think we can all agree that from the moment the first hits there's magic in the air (which in theory is crisper and cooler immediately). The leaves turn the most beautiful colors, the classic scary movies flood the channels of your tv and caramel covers everything from apples to popcorn balls. There's something about flirting with the dark and scary side of fun as the weather begins to relieve us from the exhausting heat of the summer that makes for the perfect combination. I love it I love it I love it. Going for walks in the cool evenings, making a trip to the local pumpkin patch and stressing my way through a haunted house are what I live for. I actually cheated this year and decorated my apartment for Halloween a week before the end of September. Rules schmules.
